Jane Taylor...Got the Part

The play "Dreams Deferred" first showed last December in the Grand Theatre in the Producers Club on West 44th Street in NY. Imagined like a "modern-day tragicomedy" by its author-producer, Stephanie Kali, the plot involves a youthful lady coping with two suitors along with a romantic rival. Instead of concentrate on selecting "the best guy," the play explores issues of self-worth and inner strength. I truly believe that the most crucial part within an audition is confidence." Though not written particularly as Australian, Taylor's accent wasn't an problem. "It is the actor's job to consider their personal eccentricities," Kali states, "and employ it within their favor." Being involved with a premiere performance was the validation Taylor was trying to find.
